Above is a picture of one of our additions to our family, Mata. Mata is a word for a female bear in Lance's native language. We have a wonderful internet friend, and one of her kittys has the same coloring as Mata's.She calls her kitty (sometimes) Coco-Bear, that's how we got the name bear for this little lady!
Lance found her in a parking lot of an apartment complex. She was very hungry, and had an upset stomach that ended up having to be treated with antibiotics. She has a forever home with us now. We're happy that we bought an old farmhouse that's big enough for all of our kitties!

Lance is also a member of the Crazy Cat Ladies Society,in the Gentlemen's section, naturally. As soon as we receive permission to post a link to their website, we'll post it here, so check back often!

We are very proud to be sponsors of the Alton Area Animal Aid Association (5 A's). For each order of 2 blankies or more, 5 A's receives a donated kitty blankie from us! 5 A's also can always use old sheets or blankets for the dogs and cats in the shelter. For more information on 5 A's, please call (618)-462-3721.

This big guy is Mungojerry. To take this picture of him, I stood on a chair! The last time he was at the vet, he weighed 24 pounds. Jerry was part of a feral group of kitty's that Lance fed where he works. Jerry was the boldest out of the bunch, and one day let Lance touch him. Quickly Lance scooped him up and carried him to his truck to be brought home. After a thorough vet checkup and many hours of brushing, Jerry is now a happy and healthy member of our family.
When we moved to southern Illinois, Lance made sure that the rest of those ferals were going to be fed. I'm thrilled to report that three of those ferals have also been adopted by other co-workers, and the rest(four of them) will have a forever home as 'shop kitty's', being loved by every member of that working team.
The great news is that all of those original ferals have been spayed or neutered!
